Green Machine is a site specific installation created for the show "Hfverung", translated as "Shapeshfiting", presented at Verksmidjan in Hjalteyri.  The location is a decommissioned hering factory, transformed into an exhibition space.  The curators of the show brought together a group of artists from the US and Iceland, including Jessica Stockholder, Ruri, Thordis Alda Sigurdadottir, Deborah Butterfield, and more.

Green Machine uses a fragile wood structure, emanating from a metal funnel, on which wax light sculptures are presented as stalactites and stalagmites.  They are illuminated in pure blue and red.  Coming from the structure is a ventilation tube carrying a mix of blue and red light, that leads to a projector.  The back of the space is covered in imagery that shows how blue and red, missing green to create an image (a basic principle of the formation of any digital image is the proper mix of these three colors) bring green "to life".
