"Signal" was commissioned by Samsung to be shown at their 837Nyc location in the Meatpacking district.
The mandate was to create content for a 30ft tall video wall, and thus my approach was very much related to scale. Seen at that size, it needed to create a form of visual excess.
The film focuses on the journey of a “signal” from a mouth to an ear, crossing the various abstracted locations of a the contemporary communications stack.
Sound design was done by Andrew Potter, and guitar by Daniel Kim
